The ASEAN secretariat launched the Digital Archiving Project in 2018 with the aim of;
・centralizing the cultural dissemination that has been conducted individually in each country in ASEAN
・promoting cultural exchange within the ASEAN region
・carrying on historically valuable cultural heritage to future generations
・providing opportunities for people outside the ASEAN region toexperience the culture of the ASEAN countries.
In this project, NTT DATA has been working on digitizing ASEAN countries’ cultural heritage/artworks and developed a system named "ASEAN Cultural Heritage Digital Archive."
The archiving system enables the preservation and publishing of high-resolution data such as images, audio recordings, videos, and also 3D objects.
